Amishi began her career as a graphic designer, until she realised that what thrilled her most was combining visuals with well-chosen words to tell a compelling story. She has been working as a writer and content consultant ever since.
After spending time in New York and London, she returned to her hometown Mumbai in 2013, with an MA in Innovation Management from Central Saint Martins and a BFA in Graphic Design from SCAD. She was formerly editor of Kyoorius – a magazine on Indian design – and most recently features editor at Verve, a homegrown lifestyle magazine.
Seeing a dearth of offline events for creative people to meet in an increasingly online world, she set up the Mumbai chapter of CreativeMornings, a series of breakfast talks held in over 190 cities.
